ENID’s third annual conference was held on the 14th of February, 2016, with the participation of around 300 guests. The theme was The Role of Women in Sustainable Rural Development. In 2016, ENID/El Nidaa has been in the process of consolidating its interventions in all of its three programs (MSMEs, Agriculture, and Basic Services, with special focus on scalable projects. For MSMEs it includes reaching the cluster level for each of the One Village One Product (OVOP) group of villages involved in a variety of handicraft skills. Activities in the Agriculture and Basic Services Programs are also being scaled up and replicated in more villages in Qena, Sohag and Luxor.
